God’s Protection
Hebrews 13:8 proclaims, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Malachi 3:6 reads, “I am the Lord, and I do not change.” God parted the Red Sea for Moses and he can do the same today. I had a Red Sea experience with my children over 30 years ago.
I went to town with my children to shop. I always took the highway as it was fast and convenient. After shopping and having lunch, we headed home. The traffic had picked up, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. As I approached my turn off, a semi-trailer truck was passing a string of traffic. The rig was coming at us head on.
My eldest started shouting and all I could do was try to get off in the gravel berm. There was no time left, so I cried out “Lord save us from this wreck.” With all the children screaming, the mini-van shook and then stopped.
It was a miracle. The rig was past us and we were on the side of the road safe, but shaken. I started to thank and praise God for his favor and that we were all safe. I believe with all of my heart that God moved us to safe ground. As I mentioned above, he parted the Red Sea for His children to escape Pharaoh’s army. God also closed the mouth of the Lions for Daniel’s sake. What happened to us was not impossible at all. Jesus stated in Matthew 19:26 “With men this is impossible, but if we forsake all things for His sake, with God all things are possible.”
Our God is an awesome God. We continue to keep all of you in our prayers.
