Generosity Encouraged

In the Bible we are encourgaed to be generous. There are so many ways to be generous, the defintion of generous is, Being willing to contribute or share with out expecting anything in return. It also can mean to be warm and sympathetic. Being generous in nature entails putting others before ourselves, to be kind and understanding. When I think of a generous person, I think of someone giving food to the less fourtunate or helping a person out with some financial aid.

In Luke 6:38 says:

"Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you".

1 Timothy 6:17-19 says:

"17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life."

Generosity, to me, is what we need in this life. So let it begin with us and let it be contagious.
