G I G O
I’m sure everyone has seen this term before. GIGO. It stands for Garbage In Garbage Out. It means that in any system, the quality of output is determined by the quality of the input.
Our mind is that system. If we are putting garbage into our minds, the output is going to be garbage. It is so easy to do. The world has literally put the garbage in the palm of our hands. Yes, it’s our cell phones and computers. Don’t get me wrong. I have a cell phone and computer. But if we are not careful, things will pop up, trying to distract our minds. The garbage of this world can be easily accessed online. Satan is working overtime to destroy as many people as he can.
Proverbs 15:14 reads- “The heart of him that hath understanding seeks knowledge: but the mouths of fools feeds on foolishness.” David sums it up in Psalm 101. I urge you to read the 8 verses. I’m listing verses 3-4. “I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness.”
Let’s change GIGO to God In God Out. How do we do this. By listening to what Romans 12:2 reads- “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Jesus is the only way. We must have an ongoing relationship with Him. It can’t be of convenience to our schedule. Our schedule is His schedule. Jesus requires us to put Him first in everything. That means spending time with Him through reading the Bible and talking to Him throughout the day. I pray that all of us will draw closer Jesus. With the shape our world is in, we need Him now more than ever before.
