Christian Power of Attorney
When my dad was still alive, I had power of attorney for him. I’m sure that you may have or had power of attorney for someone. Merriam-Webster defines it as “a legal instrument authorizing one to act as the attorney or agent of the grantor.” I handled many transactions for my dad because he granted me power of attorney.
In John 14:12-14, Jesus grants us this power. It reads, “Verily, Verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go onto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Jesus authorized us by His word to act as an agent for Him. That’s where Christian Power of Attorney is to be utilized. It’s unlimited to what we can do through Him, if we have the faith to believe. It’s the same today through the Holy Spirit.
We continue to keep all of you in our prayers. Please continue to pray for us.
